Friends Annual Meeting with guest speaker Pippa Norris In-Person

We hope you can join us for the Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library.  Following a short business meeting our guest speaker is Pippa Norris. 

Pippa is a comparative political scientist who has taught at Harvard for more than three decades.  She is the Paul McGuire Lecturer in Comparative Politics at Harvard's' Kennedy School for Government, an Affiliated Professor at Harvard's Government Department, and founding Director of the Electoral Integrity Project, Vice President of the World Values Survey and Co=Principle Investigator of the Trust in Democracy (TRUEDem) project.

Ms. Norris has been awarded many honors and awards throughout her career.  Her research compares public opinion and elections, democratic institutions and cultures, gender politics, and political communications in many countries worldwide.  A well-known public speaker and prolific author, she as published around fifty books,  This includes In Praise of Skepticism: Trust But Verify, published in 2022.  Her current writing focuses on a new book on The Cultural Roots of Democratic Backsliding, due out in 2025.
