Dog Behavior with Cape Canine Academy

Dog Behavior with Cape Canine Academy In-Person

Do you ever wish you could read your dog's mind or wonder what their body language means? Understanding dog behavior is a crucial part of training and building a bond. Join MJ Stoltz of Cape Canine Academy as we welcome her back to share insight into the general behavior of dogs and basic training techniques you can bring home. She'll share common bad habits we make as owners and give a glimpse into what it takes to create a safe, positive space for dogs and humans to work together. Bonus! MJ will recommend items to keep for first aid as well as some of her tried and true treats and accessories. This information session is a perfect opportunity for anyone with a pup at any age or stage to learn more and get curious about their dynamic with their four-legged sidekick. MJ will answer as many general questions as possible and we will have her information available should you want to dive deeper privately.

Disclaimer: As each dog and owner/animal relationship is different, this session is not intended to give you full knowledge to perfectly train or understand your pet, but simply give you more insight.

With a decade of experience in the training world, MJ is a certified Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer and a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. In the past, she served as an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Therapy Dog Instructor through K9 Caring Angels, although my current focus lies on in-home training. MJ specializes in addressing behavioral concerns such as reactivity, anxiety and resource guarding, but also help with everything from puppy training to advanced obedience and off-leash reliability. Offering both private lessons and homeschool options, the goal for all her clients is to be able to live happier and have more adventures with their dog.
