Oyster Farming with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and Woods Hole Sea Grant In-Person
Join us for an in-depth look at oyster farming on Cape Cod! We will learn how the aquaculture has developed over the years, the water quality monitoring program, as well as shellfish-related research and monitoring projects.
Rachel Hutchinson received a bachelor’s degree in geology and environmental science from SUNY Cortland and a master’s degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management from the Unity College. She has worked for multiple Cape Cod municipalities as a Shellfish Constable, managing the shellfisheries as well as running their propagation programs. She currently works as the Marine Resource Specialist with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and Woods Hole Sea Grant, providing educational programming and applied research related to shellfish here in Massachusetts.
