Learning Series: Murder and Mayhem in the Ancient World In-Person

In this course Peggy Kelleher will explore the chaos, confusion, and carnage caused in families by curses, oracles, and prophecies.   Her focus will be the stories of the famous Greek figures, Orestes and Oedipus, as depicted in the works of Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, and other ancient writers.   Are there generational consequences for immoral actions?  Should we be punished for the crimes of our ancestors?  Who's responsible if a higher authority directs someone to commit a criminal act? Three part series: Oct 2, 9, 16.

This program is part of the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library Learning Series.  A $10 donation per course is suggested. All net proceeds are used by the Friends of the EPL to support the Library. Registration and payment forms are available at the Library front desk and online at www.eldredgelibrary.org/learning-series.
