Kitchen Herbalism with Katie Powell: Winter Edition

Kitchen Herbalism with Katie Powell: Winter Edition In-Person

We are thrilled to welcome back Katie Powell of Powellness Creations for another informative session on the holistic benefits of kitchen herbs! In this program, we’ll focus on a few powerful herbs that offer much more than just culinary uses. Learn how these herbs can support your overall well-being, from improving digestion to enhancing mental clarity and boosting immunity. We’ll cover how to grow these herbs at home and explore ways to use them in teas, tinctures, and topical applications. Whether you’re new to herbalism or looking to expand your knowledge, this session will offer practical tips for integrating these natural remedies into your wellness routine.

Katie was born and raised on Cape Cod (Wampanoag territory). Coming from many generations of gardeners and farmers, combined with a strong bond with nature, working with plants makes her feel aligned and grounded to her roots. Living with more than one autoimmune disorder and the myriad of symptoms that follow, herbalism and holistic health has become an integral part of her personal healing process.

Katie enjoys learning from plants. From growing, harvesting, formulating, exploring their actions & medicinal properties.. herbalism offers so much opportunity for expansion of knowledge. You can spend years or even decades studying and still learn from them. While she's taken some courses online from certified herbalists, she has found her most valuable knowledge comes from actually growing the herbs, reading from her collection of books, & learning at her own pace. You can find more of her magic over at https://powellnesscreations.com/
