SUMMARY:Cape Cod History: 12 Stories For 12 Generations with Christopher Setterlund
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of storytelling as we welcome back
native Cape Cod writer\, Christopher Setterlund\, as he shares 12 tales
from his latest book\, In Their Footsteps: The Interesting People\,
Places\, and Events of Cape Cod History. The book\, boasting 40 fascinating
stories in chronological order\, will be for sale!\n\nCape Cod is more than
300 square miles of beaches\, quaint shops\, restaurants\, and scenic
vistas. In the 21st century\, sometimes the people and events that helped
to create and define this beautiful peninsula can get lost as the sands of
time continue to push forward. In little more than 400 years\, Cape Cod
went from a tree-covered spit to a worldwide destination. In between\,
there have been countless memorable residents and stories. From explorers
to true crime. From discoveries to destruction. Entertainment meccas\,
legendary restaurants\, famous faces\, and unsung heroes\, all are
remembered and revisited inside this book. Some of these stories are well
known\, and some have flown under the radar. However\, they all come
together to give the reader a more well-rounded scope of the importance of
 Cape Cod\, far beyond a summer tourist destination.\n\n \n\n\nChristopher
Setterlund is a twelfth-generation Cape Codder whose roots go back to the
second Mayflower voyage. His 9th-great-grandfather is Deacon John Doane. He
is the author of nine other books. He hosts In My Footsteps: A Gen-X
Nostalgia Podcast\, and also runs a blog with the In My Footsteps name on
Blogger. In addition to books\, the author has contributed work to the Cape
Cod Chamber of Commerce\, Cape Cod Life magazine\, Cape Cod magazine\, Cape
Cod.com and Travel Channel.com. Away from writing\, he has been a
 WITS-certified personal trainer since 2015. He enjoys running\, cycling\,
photography and is a lover of travel.\n\n \n\nRegistration for events is
 back and strongly recommended! Save your spot by registering today\;
walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability\n
